• 2+ years of QTP testing including implementing keyword or data driven frameworks• Ability to code in VBScript• Ability to code in one or more of the following: • JavaScript, Perl, Python, shellscript, C++, Java• Read and understand SQL queries• Experience with HP Quality Center• Prior testing experience with web based applications• Japanese and English fluency – the role requires excellent communication skills in an environment where both Japanese and English are frequently used.• Prior experience in the insurance industry or related financial industries• Prior non-automation testing experience• Experience in testing to strict compliance requirements.• Bachelor (4-year) degree (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience.• Unit testing frameworks (cppUnit, jUnit etc)• Implementing domain-specific languages• Continuous integration tools• Watir, Selenium or similar automation tools• Familiarity with unix• Familiarity with Apache or similar web-server technology• Prior testing experience with AS400 based applications

Job Description
A new opening for a haken position on a 6 month renewable contract onsite with one of our customers, a large European insurance company. As part of the team providing testing services, you will be using multiple platforms, not only client server but also application based, to aid in the maintenance and development of a variety of custom made in-house software applications.
Working as a skilled and experienced specialist, you will be responsible for effective automation of a number of testing procedures, using your understanding of GUI testing and other automation techniques. Using your experience in designing, writing and maintaining effective GUI test suites you will be maximizing the effectiveness of test automation for business critical and high use applications developed by the technology side of the client’s organization for effective implementation across all areas of their business.
Core Tasks and Duties
• Plan, write and maintain automated scripts to test permutations of complex GUI functionality (both web and app based).
• Create test suites for specific purposes (smoke testing, pre-deployment testing, regression etc)
• Analyze and report results of testing to stakeholders
• Implement automation framework to support ease of QTP test writing and maintenance
• Work with project teams to increase testability of delivered code and augment manual test efforts
• Work with development teams to build test support tools
