This position is in a top-tier global investment bank’s Tokyo branch.
-Work closely with business stakeholders and external vendors to onboard new clients and facilitate software releases at vendor or client side.
-Provide support in the Asia Pacific Region for the Cash Equities business and associated Operations groups, including coverage for level 1/2 support for FIX applications.
-Ensure that the FIX infrastructure is configured and operating optimally.
-Roll out new releases of FIX Infrastructure Software in a controlled and managed way, with zero client impact.
-Maintain and enhance configuration and procedural documentation.
-Troubleshoot the FIX infrastructure when faults arise.
-Liaise with clients who have connectivity issues.
-Configure and onboard new clients.
-Suggest and implement new ways of improving the FIX service.
-Provide support and training to Front Line Support Staff.
-Communicate with Japanese clients on all aspects related to FIX connectivity.
Required:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Previous experience of support for operations or front office groups from an IT perspective.
-Japanese language skills written and spoken
-Basic UNIX systems Admin
-Good shell scripting (perl / ksh /awk / sed etc)
-TCP/IP networking
-Knowledge of Java
Desired:
-Fluent or good English speaker
-VCS cluster knowledge
-Knowledge of Equity Trade cycle
-Knowledge of routing networks (bloombert, TNS, Radianz, Autex, etc)
