Network Engineer – Cisco | BiOS, LINC Media Inc.

A large multination banking and finance client, operating remotely in Okinawa is in search of a Network Engineer to join their team. The start date for this role is ASAP.

The contract term will be 6-months to begin with the opportunity for long-term renewal with good performance.

Job Responsibilities
As a member of a Network Support team, this role and environment includes:

Environment:
Large domestic network with Data Centers, over 50 WAN branches and multiple offices connected over a high bandwidth MAN

The standard client network architecture is designed to provide Internet connectivity and services to the internal corporate network.

Within this network, separate pods are provided for web hosting, outbound Internet services - web proxies, ftp/telnet gateways and VPN.

This is a very dynamic environment, as the infrastructure grows with the strategic expansion of the main data centers, consolidation/retirement of old and legacy systems and the expansion of the bank’s branch network.

Position:
The person filling this position will assist with day-to-day operations, executing work requests, perform technical troubleshooting, and keep up with new technologies and corporate standards.
Working with the team, he/she will be involved in defining, designing and implementing infrastructure projects – as a consultant as well as second and third level support. The job requires not only technical skills, but also a good understanding of corporate standards, policies, guidelines and procedures.
