Job Description
A new contract opening in the Osaka branch of one of our customers, a global LCD and display systems manufacturer. This role involves specialized applications from electronic information processing capabilities to general management reporting, analysis and control problems, with information systems activities pertaining to the following: systems analysis, programming and software acquisition, and operation, communications, and related auxiliary systems may be included. Both centralized and distributed services, as well as voice and data communications are represented.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
- Work with the team that maintains associated hardware resources allocated to the databases to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
- Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
- Responsible for problem escalation to Development team.
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
- Work in international business environment
